Advanced training in fetal monitoring

Project to disseminate fetal monitoring interpretation based in physiology.

icareCTG means "I care about cardiotocographic records"

Virtually every decisión taken in the labor Ward relies on the interpretation we mek of the cardiotocograph trace.

Studies show that traditional interpretation has 60-90% false positives, with 30% inter- and intra-observer differences!

icareCTG means "I care about cardiotocographic records"

More than 20 years ago, Dr. Edwin Chandraharan rethought the way we interpret CTGs and manage labor, applying basic physiology and maximizing respect for the fetal adaptive process (IRBF).

Being able to understand “how the fetus is doing” at all times allows for safer management and better perinatal outcomes.

With the mission of disseminating this information, icareCTG was born in 2016. Since then, more than 10,000 gynecologists and midwives from different countries have taken a masterclass and have been able to apply it in their delivery rooms.

IRBF could be summarized as individualized management based on fetal physiology and always considering the clinical context
